According to a 2017 survey study, the following factors have been attributed as causes of corruption: Greed of money, desires. Higher levels of market and political monopolization. Low levels of democracy, weak civil participation and low political transparency. Forms of corruption vary, but include bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, parochialism, patronage, influence peddling, graft, and embezzlement. Corruption may facilitate criminal enterprise such as drug trafficking, money laundering, and Human trafficking, though it is not restricted to these activities. Corruption in nigeria, is a nationwide act adopted in every field, some people view corruption as an only politics or government acts which is by far beyond that. Looking to our current economic outlook, nigerians as whole contribute immensely towards the slow improvement of the nation economy. With reference to so many fields, corruption in this country cannot be put into total rest without the full support and the cooperation of the people. Government only can't fight corruption, agencies too can't fight corruption alone, but with our help, we can can reduce the level of corruption in our father land. As I mentioned above, there are different areas where corruption is being a normal business between the people, which is even more dangerous compared to one we always complain about our government. Take an example now, a teacher in an institution will form the habit of collecting money from students in order to pass a particular course, or students spoiled their lecturers by continuously giving them money which in turn get a returned favor of pass. Looking at this example, how can our nation will be corruption-free when the leaders of tomorrow(students) or the role models (teachers) are all corrupted? The answer is absolutely NO. Take aside schools, there are other areas which corruption has his agents and they work tirelessly to please their master. If, you, I and everyone concerned can take away selfishness, corruption can be reduced and our economy will surely rise
